  I agree with you that we shouldn't sugar coat the bible. In that spirit, here's my favorite fact about homosexuality in the bible: The Old Testament, where men are allowed multiple wives, never forbids, or even mentions, lesbianism. Mind you, the Mosaic Law covered explicitly what was allowed and forbidden sexually, including women having sex with animals and which relatives you shouldn't have sex with. It mentions male homosexuality explicitly. Yet no mention at all of lesbianism. I wonder why...

  Why do people try to make the Bible fit their lifestyles? Why do people try to twist the Bible?

  Then if it dosen't say what they want it to say they abandon it all together. which is their choice to do but then don't go lying about what God's word says!

  Hang in here with us, you'll learn alot here. Don't mind the minority of biggots here or the SELF RIGHTEOUS REALONE. Some folks still have an agenda to perpetuate and refuse to get the drift that they aren't appreciated here. Loving kindness goes a long way.

  Str8 If you stick around long enough you will find real one pops up from time to time to try and correct our ways. He's a bit like a bad smell, comes and goes but after a while you get used to it.

  As you know, it's baffling how some people living in our twenty-first century should even be enslaved menally/spiritually by the social mores of a collective of bronze-age, semitic nomads. The regulations of these people forbid homosexuality, but these same regulations forbid with equal vigor eating frogs' legs and the cutting of hair. And yet, there are indeed precious few people who get "riled" over the existence of French restaurants or barber shops. Hmm...I wonder why this is so

  not really sure what you mean but I follow God's rules and I don't make my own world to live in cause thats the "thing" to do. You call me hateful? Im telling people the gospel of Jesus Christ and how if they accept this way of life they can not only give their cares and worries to God but also receive the most precious gift of eternal life in the presence of our Creator. You call this hateful? Thats ok I understand the source.

  I'm not going to lie to anyone on this forum or sugar coat anything to be popular here. I am here to spread the truth. Many here know what truth is but want to hide from it. You can't hide from truth because it will always find you and all those fairy tales you believe will turn out to be the lie.

  You left jw hopefully to find the truth. Yes, many things they taught were lies but many things they taught were also true.

  a notable member of this forum tipped me off to this fact, and i recently checked up on it.. check out the cdc's ingredient list for vaccines:.

  any vaccine you see with the ingredients "bovine albumin", "bovine serum", "human serum albumin", are made from blood!.

  What is the "world" we must not love?

  if anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not in him; 16 because everything in the worldthe desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of ones means of lifedoes not originate with the father, but originates with the world.

  17 furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of god remains forever.. how do you understand this scripture after leaving jws?.

  first off, happy mother's day to all the mothers out there!.

  the bible says we are to honor our mother & father.

  that's why i don't understand why witnesses don't acknowledge their mothers on mother's day....and their fathers on father's day.

  You have really hit a soft spot with me here! Today is the first day in 17 yrs that I have celebrated mother's day. I am cooking breakfast for my mom today. I have felt so guilty all these years. Well i'm blessed she is still here to accept my gifts and honor.

  How UNLOVING and MORALLY WRONG for a religious organization to take that away from their members!! Lurking active JWs:.... can you not see how very wrong this teaching is ?

  Oh believe me most of them celebrate it!
